The controversy arose after Pamela Chang, an adult film actress, made a series of accusations against the reporter on television. According to her version, Gianfranco Pérez allegedly engaged in stalking behavior and asked her to participate in supposed “ampays” related to Peruvian football players.

In response to the case’s impact, Magaly Medina revealed that she had a conversation with her reporter and reviewed the content of his cell phone to learn more details about the situation. After that, she explained that she found messages, photos, and videos exchanged between both parties.
“Today there was a complaint on another program where an adult film actress… accused him of harassment, according to her asking him to set up two football players”, said Medina. After this, the entertainment host announced the separation of Pérez because the controversy directly affects the image of her television show.

“We have decided to separate him from the program. Meanwhile, he will no longer be part of my show”, she added during her live program, emphasizing that she does not support the personal conduct of any member of her team and that she seeks to maintain credibility.

After the complaint was made against him, Gianfranco Pérez shared a statement on his social media, where he apologized for his actions and accepted the consequences. He also revealed that he was separated from “Magaly TV, la firme.”
“I apologize for my actions and accept the consequences, I crossed a line that neither the program nor the host cross, I betrayed the trust Magaly gave me by being part of the number 1 entertainment program, I leave with the best experience. For now, I will take legal action because the serious accusations are defamatory and not part of reality. Thank you very much for all the affection, hopefully, this is a see you soon”, he wrote.
