“The Pitt” 3: this is what the teaser for the new season of the series with Noah Wyle on HBO MAX says

HBO MAX released this Friday the official teaser for the third season of “The Pitt”, the award-winning medical drama starring Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael ‘Robby’ Robinavitch.

Precisely, season two ends with the doctor packing his belongings at the end of his shift. But it’s not just any end of the day. It’s supposed to be the start of his vacation.

For a workaholic like him, vacations are not a priority, so throughout ‘the Pitt emergency room’ (as the hospital where the story takes place is called) a third of people believe he won’t leave, another third that he will, and the last third doubts whether he will leave and eventually return.

What a suspense!

WHAT THE SEASON 3 TEASER SAYS

The teaser for season 3 of “The Pitt” confirms that, surprisingly, Dr. Robby does return to work. To the joy and bewilderment of many, he appears in ‘the Pitt pit’ with his usual worn-out expression.

This 1:28-minute clip starts with Dr. Jack Abbot (Shawn Hatosy) loudly calling his night team. He urges them to “show how things are done.” Then, of course, the gossip of the moment: Will Robby come back?

Immediately, the clip intersperses praise quotes from major U.S. media about “The Pitt” with some images. Dr. Santos (Isa Briones) appears asking Dr. Whitaker (Gerran Howell) “not to kill anyone today.” He responds with the same wish. The dialogue suggests that they have improved their relationship after a not-so-promising end to season 2 (she showed an unusual interest in him).

From this moment, Dr. Robby is shown returning to the emergency room while moments of patients in chaotic situations are interspersed. Some injured, some screaming, others pleading for help, etc. Tension at its peak, as “The Pitt” has accustomed us.

Also, Dr. Javadi appears asking for help in an emergency that seems to be getting out of her hands.

Then Dana Evans (head of emergency nurses) sees Robby and throws him a brief: “I thought you had already joined a circus.” And he responds just as sharply: “I thought you had already been fired.” There has always been a love-hate bond between them. They are longtime friends and colleagues, but in season 2 she committed a serious fault and he kept quiet to prevent her from being sanctioned, even with expulsion.

“I knew my first day back would be tough (…) and I knew everything could get out of control,” says Dr. Robby’s voice later in the teaser revealed by HBO Max.

After that mix of emergency images, Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball) sees Robby from afar and welcomes him. “Thanks,” replies the head of Emergency briefly to someone who was once his protégé but who disappointed him after it was discovered he was stealing pain medication he secretly consumed.

WHEN DOES SEASON 3 OF THE PITT PREMIERE?

There is no date for the premiere of season 3 of “The Pitt”, but it has been confirmed that it will be in January 2027.
