Doctor Edgar Amorín Kajatt studied at the National University of San Marcos and specialized at INEN. He complemented his academic training at prominent centers in Germany, the United States, and Japan. He is also a Master in Medical Ethics and Bioethics and Doctor of Medicine.

He was head of the Thorax Department, director of Surgery, and general director of INEN. He is considered a pioneer in Peru in minimally invasive robotic surgery and in the use of laser for surgeries of pulmonary metastases. He is also a promoter of robotic surgery at INEN.

In the field of research, he has published various scientific articles and books, and has also participated in international research and held positions in medical societies. His professional work has received recognition from important institutions such as the Congress of the Republic, the Medical College of Peru, and the Andean Parliament, among others.

Doctor Edgar Amorín Kajatt is a happy husband and proud father of three children. Besides medicine, which is his passion, he engages in other activities he enjoys enthusiastically such as playing fronton, swimming, and playing guitar.
