HOW TO CHECK FOR PENDING TICKETS FOR FREE?
The report can be requested online through the SAT Virtual Agency. To access the information, follow these steps:
- Go to www.gob.pe/satlima and look for the access corresponding to the SAT Virtual Agency.
- On the portal, enter the “Digital Services” option.
- Select “Violation Report” among the available tools.
- Enter your driver’s license number so the system can perform the query.
- Review the generated report with the details of the registered violations.
HOW CAN YOU PAY A REGISTERED TICKET?
If the query shows a pending sanction, there are different channels to make the payment. You can search for the debt in the SAT Virtual Agency with the violation code or the vehicle’s license plate.
You can also pay through the digital banking of BCP, Interbank, BBVA, and Scotiabank. Additionally, Yape offers another alternative to make the payment.
For those who prefer in-person service, payment can be made at SAT offices or authorized agents.
CAN YOU GET A DISCOUNT WHEN PAYING THE FINE?
The payment date can influence the final amount. There are reductions ranging from 83% to 17% of the sanction value when payment is made within the days following the notification.
However, this benefit excludes severe offenses that involve the suspension of the driver’s license.
WHAT TYPES OF VIOLATIONS ARE REGISTERED IN THE MUNICIPAL SYSTEM?
Traffic offenses are divided into three categories:
Type M: includes the highest risk behaviors, such as exceeding speed limits, driving after consuming alcohol, or driving without a license. Sanctions can reach the equivalent of one UIT and include measures such as vehicle impoundment or license cancellation.
Type G: corresponds to medium severity violations. These include running a red light, using a cell phone while driving, or parking where prohibited. They can generate a fine equivalent to 8% of the UIT and negative points for the driver.
Type L: includes offenses considered minor, for example, unnecessary use of the horn or leaving the vehicle blocking passage. The penalty indicated is equivalent to 4% of the UIT and also adds negative points.
Additionally, the database allows monitoring penalties imposed on pedestrians for not complying with traffic rules, as well as warnings applied to public transport operators supervised by the urban transport regulatory entity (ATU).
