One of the most expensive trips – over 25 thousand soles – was made by Waldemar Cerrón (Perú Libre), first vice president of the Congress. He did not travel alone: his advisor Natalia Jiménez flew with him. Together, Congress spent more than 50 thousand soles in one week in Europe. Neither responded to this media’s questions. But there is a curious fact: Cerrón, as a member of the Board of Directors, had to approve his own trip.

Contacted by El Comercio, he indicated that he traveled on special assignment from the president of Congress, Fernando Rospigliosi. But he is not the only congressman who holds Rospigliosi responsible for his trip. Patricia Juárez (Popular Force), whose records show she traveled to Canada from May 19 to 22, assures that she traveled at the special request of the president of Congress.
