A meeting with culture
The Lima International Book Fair has always been characterized as a space to find editorial novelties and the best book deals. But it is also an annual meeting point with culture, where visitors can complement their purchases with musical shows, spaces aimed at boys and girls, theatrical performances, fun activities such as the sticker exchange organized by Serpost, and workshops, including a Padawan training, referring to the apprentices from the “Star Wars” saga. FIL is not just about book presentations: the program is much broader and more diverse, designed for all audiences at the same price. It can be checked at this link: https://fil-lima.com.pe/programa-cultural-2/.

Kayfex and more musical flavor
The shows that close each day of FIL are a tradition everyone looks forward to. This 2026, the star shows will bring together outstanding national and international artists such as Kayfex, Grammy Latino-winning DJ and music producer, and indie pop and rock singer Elisa Tokeshi. Mestizo electronic music arrives with Machaka. Also part of the program are La Nueva Invasión and Milena Warthon. There is something for all audiences!

Thinking about new audiences
As every year, the Lima International Book Fair offers a program aimed at children every day in the Martín Adán auditorium. Storytelling, musical presentations, and even puppets are part of the program. The musical narration “The endless questions of Juanito and his yellow bicycle” and a puppet show about the life of Miguel Grau are just a sample. On this stage, the second edition of the International Children’s and Youth Book Fair in Peru will be launched on Saturday, August 1 at 4 p.m.

Symphonies for the soul
There are few opportunities to see a symphony orchestra; however, at FIL Lima there will be several options such as the Peruvian Navy Symphony Band and Symphony for Peru, a musical group of young people founded by Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez, with the show “What does Peru sound like?”. Also, on July 23 at 8 p.m., Ecuador will present the book “Manabí, millenary gastronomy. 200 recipes, their stories and secrets,” accompanied by the musical show by trumpeter Édgar Palacios and the Loja Symphony Orchestra, one of the main references of the Ecuadorian symphony.
Ecuadorian cinema
In the Martín Adán room, five Ecuadorian films will be screened that explore the memory, legends, cultural diversity, and landscapes of Ecuador, the guest of honor country of the 30th edition of FIL Lima. These are “Once Upon a Time in Quito” (2026), a documentary directed by Iñaki Oñate; “Guañuna” (2022), by David Lasso; “Chuzalongo” (2024), by Diego Ortuño; “Helena de Sarayaku” (2021), directed by Eriberto Gualinga; and “The Legend of Tayos” (2021), by Galo Semblantes.

With the change of venue to the Jockey Exhibition Center, the organization has arranged free shuttle buses from Jockey Plaza and Friendship Park to facilitate access to the new fairgrounds. You must have your fair ticket, which can be purchased online at https://teleticket.com.pe/fil-lima-2026.
