The coach of Universitario de Deportes, Héctor Cúper, expressed his displeasure after the draw against Sporting Cristal at the Monumental stadium, in a match corresponding to matchday 4 of the 2026 Clausura Tournament.
“Of the matches we have played in this Clausura, this has been the best. It has been seen that the game has been different”, he said at a press conference.
However, the Argentine coach regretted that the performance did not translate into a victory. “The result did not accompany us. We are sad for not having given the fans the win on the anniversary, but Universitario played well. Tonight we earned the right to win the match”, he added.
