The Executive formalized this the appointment of Lizbeth Maceda Maldonado as cabinet advisor of the General Secretariat in the Presidential Office of Keiko Fujimori.
The appointment is made through Resolution No. 000068-2026-DP/SGDP, signed by the institution’s general secretary, Marissa Carla Palomino Bonilla.

The legal norm, published in the legal norms bulletin of El Peruano on August 13, establishes that the advisor position was vacant and it was necessary to appoint a staff member to perform the functions inherent to that office. The appointment is made under the regime of Law No. 30057, known as the Civil Service Law.

The resolution has the prior approvals of the General Subsecretariat, the General Office of Human Resources, and the General Office of Legal Advice, and is finalized just days after Keiko Fujimori assumes the Presidency of the Republic.
For this appointment, Law No. 31419 was considered, which establishes provisions to guarantee suitability in access to positions of freely appointed officials. Likewise, the Integrated Text of the Organization and Functions Regulation of the Presidential Office approved in 2024 was applied.

The appointment strengthens the direct support team of the General Secretariat, an office that coordinates the technical and administrative assistance of the presidency. The professional will assume her trusted functions immediately.
Lizbeth Maceda Maldonado in campaigns and Congress
Lizbeth Maceda Maldonado recently served as press chief for the Fuerza Popular campaign during the 2026 general elections. Previously, in 2021, she fulfilled the same role for George Forsyth’s presidential candidacy.
In her experience within the Legislative Branch, she was an advisor to Congressman Edwin Vergara between 2016 and 2018. Her time in the public sector also includes technical work in the Parliamentary Communication area of the Congress of the Republic.
