Paolo Guerrero reported this Friday that his social media accounts were hacked and that people unrelated to him carried out various actions from his official profiles. The Alianza Lima forward informed his followers about what happened and explained that during the last seven days there were three unauthorized accesses to his Instagram and Facebook accounts.

The forward stated that, as a result of this situation, many users received friend requests, ‘likes’, comments, and shared posts that were not made by him. Therefore, Guerrero apologized to his followers and clarified that any suspicious activity recently recorded on his profiles occurred while his accounts were compromised.
“I know that many of you have received friend requests, likes, comments, and suspicious reposts from me. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” wrote the forward, who is currently focused on his activity with Alianza Lima in the Torneo Clausura of Liga 1.
An intervention allowed identifying those responsible
The footballer’s report also caused a stir because interactions related to Alondra García Miró appeared from his accounts. These posts sparked comments among social media users, but Guerrero made it clear that they were not made by him and are part of the actions carried out by those who compromised his profiles.

Beyond that situation, the forward assured that the case has already been addressed by the authorities. According to him, a swift judicial intervention allowed identifying those responsible for the hacking. “Fortunately, and thank God, a swift judicial intervention has allowed us to identify those responsible,” he stated in his statement.
Guerrero also announced that the corresponding criminal complaints will be filed against the people involved. The forward seeks to regain full control of his accounts and prevent posts or interactions that could be mistakenly attributed to him from continuing to appear.
The Alianza Lima forward is going through this off-field episode while continuing his season with the white-and-blue team. With the Torneo Clausura underway, Guerrero will have to leave this off-field situation behind and focus again on his goal on the field: to contribute with goals and experience to the intimate team’s campaign.
