Interim President Delcy Rodríguez assured this Wednesday that “there will be” elections when “Venezuela is ready,” at a time when her interim government and a sector of the opposition participating in negotiations sponsored by Washington, with a view to a democratic transition.

“Don’t doubt it, there will be an electoral process, but under the conditions in which Venezuela is ready,” she responded to a journalist during a conference in Caracas after the signing of multi-million dollar energy agreements in the presence of U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
