An earthquake was recorded this morning, Friday, September 11. The magnitude was 3.8 and its epicenter was located 9 kilometers to the west of Vitor, Arequipa, according to the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP).
According to the report released by the IGP, the seismic movement was felt at 7:18 a.m. and had a depth of 15 kilometers.
The seismic event was located at coordinates latitude -16.49 and longitude -72.02. The National Seismological Center indicated that the movement reached an intensity of II-III in Vitor.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defense and the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) authorities remain in constant monitoring to assess possible collateral effects. So far, no injuries or material damages have been reported.
