Velarde: “There is a copper investment close to US$47 billion that we could have”
The president of the BCR explained that Peru can double its copper production and surpass Chile if mining projects are carried out. He added that this extractive sector generated a 20-fold growth in mining exports and a 14-fold growth in total exports between 2000 and 2025.
