The United States Army interrupted nearly 14 consecutive days of bombing Iran as President Donald Trump awaits progress on a diplomatic solution to the re-escalation of the conflict, US and Israeli media reported this Saturday.

Trump ordered the US Armed Forces not to execute new attacks on Friday, after almost two weeks of daily aggressions, to “give more space to diplomacy,” Axios reported based on two anonymous sources close to the decision.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official told the Israel Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) that the country’s government was preparing for a “powerful bombing by the United States” last night, but that Trump postponed it to give the Iranians “another chance to return to the negotiating table.”
The reports coincide with a statement from Iran’s Minister of Health, Hossein Kermanpour, who noted on his social media that “fortunately, no attack was registered last night.”
“It seems that our dear Iran had a quiet night last night, and no part of its body was hit or struck,” the minister wrote on X.
The news comes after two weeks of the re-intensification of the US war with Iran after Trump ended the memorandum of understanding he signed in June to pause the aggressions, which began on February 28.

Trump met with his top advisors at the White House on Friday as he weighed a “massive attack” against Iran, although he also assured that talks with the Islamic Republic to seek a diplomatic agreement persist.
The president mentioned that his envoys were talking with Iran six times in a 38-minute appearance at the White House, suggesting he is again seeking a diplomatic solution, the Washington Post reported.

The last two weeks of cross-attacks have raised the number of deceased US military personnel to 18 since the war began on February 28, while the price of a barrel of oil approached $100 during the week, its highest level since May.
As another sign of de-escalation, Qatar announced today that it will resume all maritime navigation activities for all types of vessels starting Sunday, after more than 10 days of suspension due to the escalation between Iran and the United States in the region.
But the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohamad Baqer Zolqadr, also warned now that his attacks against US interests will continue “until the total surrender of the enemy.”
