The Council of Ministers will meet this Sunday, August 2, for the second time, with an agenda based on the request for legislative powers to the Parliament regarding actions against the El Niño Phenomenon and citizen security, among others. This was confirmed today by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Rafael Rey.

- President participated in Thanksgiving ceremony
On Thursday, July 30, the President of the Republic, Keiko Fujimori, participated in the Thanksgiving ceremony organized by evangelical Christian churches, as part of her official activities for National Holidays.
After that, the President moved to Brasil Avenue to watch the Grand Parade and Civic-Military March for the 205th anniversary of Peru’s independence.
Yesterday, Wednesday, July 29, the President led her first session of the Council of Ministers. Moments before, in a ceremony in the courtyard of the Government Palace, she was recognized as the supreme head of the Armed Forces and the National Police.
After assuming leadership of the country on July 28, the day Peru celebrated the 205th anniversary of its independence, President Keiko Fujimori is already carrying out her first activities within the framework of her official agenda as head of state.
