The Senate Spokespersons’ Boards, chaired by Miguel Torres (Fuerza Popular) and the Chamber of Deputies, led by Óscar Reto (Partido del Buen Gobierno), will hold their first meetings this Tuesday, August 4 at 9 and 11 a.m., respectively.
The agenda of the Chamber of Deputies Spokespersons’ Board includes the number of members of the ordinary legislative commissions for the Annual Session Period 2026 – 2027.

The agenda also includes the number of members of the Constitutional Accusations Commission and the Ethics members. These are ordinary “non-legislative” working groups.
The Ethics Commission is made up of one deputy from each parliamentary group (6 members), according to the Chamber of Deputies Regulations. These are the congressmen from Fuerza Popular, Renovación Popular, Juntos por el Perú, Partido del Buen Gobierno, Ahora Nación, and Obras.
“By order of Mr. Óscar Reto Otero, president of the Chamber of Deputies, I hereby summon you to the session of the Chamber of Deputies Spokespersons’ Board to be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in the Basadre Room of the Legislative Palace,” states the document published on the Parliament’s website.
According to article 45 of the Chamber of Deputies Regulations, the ordinary legislative commissions are as follows:

According to article 49, the Constitutional Accusations Commission “is the body of the Chamber of Deputies responsible for assessing the admissibility and validity of constitutional complaints filed, as well as conducting investigations in constitutional accusation processes and issuing the corresponding final report.”
It adds that the number of its members and its composition respond to the principles of plurality and proportionality of all parliamentary groups.
“The deputies who make it up are prohibited from filing constitutional complaints. Members of the Constitutional Accusations Commission are granted leave from the bodies of the Chamber they are required to attend when sessions are scheduled at the same time as those of the Commission. Whenever possible, the Commission avoids meeting at the same time as the Chamber’s Plenary session.”
