Arminta called for the prompt intervention of the cabinet in response to the transport stoppages and landslides that have blocked traffic for several days in Arequipa. The parliamentarian urged sector authorities to urgently reopen these land communication routes.
“It was already known that these inconveniences would come. There is no economic circulation, it is paralyzed. There are sick people, elderly people, pregnant women, and children. We cannot allow the south to be closed in this way,” she emphasized.
For this reason, she demands that the Government take immediate actions to reopen roads and reach agreements with the southern population. “We must not act when risk and death are already foreseen.”
The plenary session, led by Oscar Reto (Good Government Party), is held in compliance with Article 130 of the Constitution and without a subsequent vote of confidence, but with the presentation of Galarreta and his Ministerial Cabinet.
Arminta demanded that effective agreements be reached with the civil population of the conflicted south. Likewise, she urged the Executive Power to implement timely responses, specifying that state authorities should not act when risk and death are already foreseen in the national territory.
Regarding economic planning, the legislator focused her intervention on productive reactivation and job creation. She emphasized the road projects announced to interconnect the south of the country. In this regard, she requested that future works obligatorily include two-way roads in order to avoid bottlenecks and ensure smooth commercial traffic.

Finally, the prime minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to assume its functions without excuses, with firmness and a sense of urgency. He assured that Keiko Fujimori’s administration will not manage crises but will make decisions to leave a stable country to future generations.
