The Youth Vicariate of the Archdiocese of Lima called for singers and instrumentalists between 18 and 60 years old to join the choir that will accompany the mass of Pope Leo XIV during his visit to Peru, scheduled from November 11 to 17. The audition was scheduled for this Sunday, August 23, at the Lima Cathedral. However, the form was closed after surpassing a thousand registrants. The archdiocese announced a new audition date.

Paula Holguín, a footballer born in London and daughter of Peruvian parents, appears in the third episode of the fourth season of “Ted Lasso.” The forward participates as one of the players facing the AFC Richmond women’s team in a friendly match. A 16-year-old teenager was shot dead by alleged hitmen near Tiwinza Park, in Sarita Colonia, Callao. The minor was walking through the area when intercepted by unknown individuals, who fired more than 10 shots and fled in a black car. Police officers transported the victim to the Ventanilla hospital, but doctors confirmed his death due to the severity of the wounds. The police cordoned off the area and collected shell casings for the investigation.
