According to the Datum simulation: Keiko Fujimori reaches 52.9% and Roberto Sánchez 47.1% in valid votes. The poll reflects a high level of indecision with 24.9% blank or spoiled votes just days before the election.
One day before the debate, Roberto Sánchez visited the Gamarra emporium. The candidate was accompanied by Pedro Francke and Manuel Rodríguez Cuadros.

For today’s debate, each candidate will have a total of 32 minutes.

Keiko Fujimori and Roberto Sánchez confront proposals this Sunday ahead of the runoff

According to the draw held last week at the National Jury of Elections (JNE), Roberto Sánchez will make his presentation first, followed by Keiko Fujimori.
At the conclusion of the confrontation on the thematic axes, the Fuerza Popular candidate will close the debate with a final message. Previously, the Juntos por el Perú candidate will do the same.

The presidential debate, one week before the runoff, will take place at the Lima Convention Center in San Borja.

The moderators of the presidential debate prior to the runoff will be journalists Angélica Valdés and Carlos Villarreal.
The JNE estimates the debate will last one hour and five minutes.
The order and topics were agreed upon with both candidates in coordination meetings prior to organizing the debate.
The presidential runoff debate will begin at 8 p.m. this Sunday, May 31

The presidential runoff will take place on Sunday, June 7. The candidate who obtains the most votes will be the new president-elect and will take office on July 28.
Keiko Fujimori and Roberto Sánchez managed to advance to the presidential runoff after securing the top two spots in the general elections held last April 12. The Fuerza Popular candidate obtained 2,877,678 votes (17.192%), while the Juntos por el Perú representative reached 2,015,114 votes (12.039%).
