Piero Quispe is officially a new player of Universitario de Deportes after reaching an agreement for the next two seasons. The talented national midfielder thus completed his long-awaited return to the cream club after terminating his contract with Pumas of Mexico and finishing his loan at Sydney FC of Australia.
The midfielder’s contract will last two years (2026-2028) and is given as a free agent, which facilitated his immediate incorporation into the squad.

Despite having offers from Greek football and other local offers, Piero Quispe decided to prioritize his return to Universitario, the club where he was trained and managed to consolidate himself.
Quispe will immediately join the team led by Héctor Cúper, with the goal of facing the 2026 Clausura Tournament and being a key piece in the search for the historic four-time championship of Liga 1.
