The Miss Peru Organization announced the withdrawal of the title from Luren Márquez as Miss Peru 2026. The institution confirmed that the representative from Ica officially ceases to hold the crown and that her participation in the upcoming Miss Universe scheduled for November in Puerto Rico has been canceled.
Through a statement published on social media, the organization confirmed that the beauty queen is no longer Miss Peru. “The Miss Peru Organization informs that, as of today, Miss Luren Márquez ceases to hold the title of Miss Peru 2026, and her representation at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico is nullified”, details the official letter.

Likewise, the organization stated that in the coming days the new representative of Peru for the Miss Universe 2026 title will be announced. “In the coming days we will provide more information about who will represent Peru at Miss Universe”, leaving open the expectation about who will take over and wear the national sash at the international pageant.

Who is Luren Márquez, the former Miss Peru 2026?
Luren Márquez had assumed the title of Miss Peru 2026 after being crowned in a ceremony held at the Callao Municipal Theater. Her selection had granted her the right to represent the country in the 75th edition of Miss Universe, scheduled to take place in November in Puerto Rico.
